Safguarding & Child Protection
Safeguarding Concerns
Safeguarding Concerns DO NOT keep concerns to yourself – safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Our Safeguarding Statement
At Ysgol Abermorddu, we respect and value all children and are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all our pupils. We believe every pupil should be able to participate in all school activities in a safe environment and be protected from harm. This is the responsibility of every adult employed by or invited to deliver our services.
How to Report a Safeguarding Concern

Ideally, speak to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mr. Griffiths) or the deputy DSP (Mrs. Berry).
If this is not possible, concerns should be shared with and documented by another member of staff, preferably a member of the senior leadership team (Mr. Williams & Mrs. Armstrong).
If you are unable to contact a member of the Safeguarding team, Social Services for Children can be contacted via 01352 701000 or, after 5pm, 0845 0533116. School staff can contact the education team directly on 01352 702702.
