Residentials

School trips are the thing we all remember from our school days. They offered children a chance to step outside the confines of their daily routine and experience life beyond the school gates. They provided opportunities for pupils to spend time away from their usual school and home environment, often with a focus on learning and adventure. These trips were designed to provide children with unique experiences, build confidence, and foster social skills. Our residential visits usually linked with our curriculum learning and were often focused on culture, adventure, and history.

Some of our past residential visits are highlighted below:

• Glan Llyn, North Wales: Years 3 and 4 took part in a one night residential at Glan Llyn. The visit gave pupils the chance to experience life away from home, develop independence and confidence, and take part in a range of outdoor and team building activities.

• Gulliver's World, Warrington: Year 4s enjoyed an overnight trip to Gulliver's World, where they took part in a range of fun activities including archery, roller skating, a campfire experience and, of course, a go on the rides!

• London: Year 5 enjoyed an exciting trip to London, combining cultural, historical, scientific and theatrical experiences. During the visit, pupils visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, the Houses of Parliament, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. They also had the opportunity to watch Matilda the Musical in the West End. The trip provided pupils with a memorable experience of the capital while supporting learning across a range of curriculum areas.

• Normandy, France: Our Year 6 class visited France as part of a week long trip to Normandy. During the visit, pupils visited Arromanches, the British Normandy Memorial and Commonwealth War Graves. They also enjoyed a river cruise and spent time practising their French with pupils from our partner French school.
