Forest School

We are looking forward to our forest school starting very soon.  Abermorddu CP, forest school will take place in our designated area on the school grounds. The sessions will be held regularly for each class on a half term basis. Forest school will be delivered by our trained practitioners.

 

But what is forest school and why is it important?

 

"Forest school is a form of outdoor education, which has an inspirational and participant centred learning process at its core.  This offers opportunities for holistic growth.  It is a regular and long-term programme that supports play, development, exploration and risk taking.  It increases confidence and self esteem through hands on experiences in a natural setting."
