You child's class teacher may on occasion send messages in the Seesaw app regarding upcoming events/reminders for the class.

Whole School Updates & Reminders (Weekly)
A school update and reminder email will be sent every Friday, from the school office. This will include any important information for the general school, and a brief outline of the following week.
Events & Trips (When required)
Individual emails will be sent for class/whole school events and trips. This email will include important information and the majority of these types of emails will require action by the parent/carer (e.g. completing a trip consent form). Your child's class teacher may also send this information via Seesaw messages.

This will usually be sent via email, along with the Newsletter. Or sent again if dates and/or events have changed.

Free School Meals & School Essentials Grant
All full time primary school children in Wales are eligible for Universal Free School Meals, however it is still imperative to apply for Free School Meals (eFSM), if you are eligible, even if your child has packed lunch. Not only does this provide vital funds to the school, you will also be eligible for discounted clubs and events in school, and also be eligible for the Schools Essential Grant. This is a payment you will receive to go towards school expenses such as uniform, or other supplies.

Parking
Car parking at the beginning and end of the school day is a problem at most primary schools. Children and parents arrive and depart in a relatively short period of time and this causes congestion. We ask that parents do not park on our school staff car park, even for pick up from after school club.

There have been instances of:
-
cars stopping or parking on the restricted yellow marked areas outside the school; including the double yellow lines opposite the school and near the traffic lights
-
cars parking or driving along pavements, and blocking driveways
-
periodic complaints from residents about drivers’ behaviour and vehicle obstruction

So, please walk to school if you can. If you have to come by car, try to allow more time, share trips with neighbours or friends, observe the traffic regulations and park properly in the surrounding residential roads. The school has a duty of care to its neighbours. Parking on restricted areas or mounting the pavement is a traffic offence.

School Gateway
Payments
We are a cashless school, so please download the School Gateway app. Here you'll be able to pay for school dinners, clubs and school trips. This means you won’t have to queue up at our school office or send your children into school with cash envelopes to pay for trips.
