Class Information

Reading books ~

Reading books ~ We understand the importance of your child engaging with the home school reading we provide. We will read with your child every week and upload the notes to our class Seesaw. Your child will have a reading book in school but will also be asked to take a book home to read too. I these books can be brought back on a Tuesday and Thursday in order to swap that would be very helpful. Pupils who are reading Read Write Inc. books, we ask that these books are returned on a Friday so that we are able to read with your child and progress them to the next book. Reading with your child is an important aspect of their development, along with asking them about the book to gain understanding. We ask, as a school, that parents read at least once or twice a week with their children to promote a positive attitude to reading.

Reading records for parents and teachers will be completed on SeeSaw. Reading has been set on Seesaw for each pupil to complete their reading record with their parent on a weekly basis.

We encourage the use of Oxford Owl, HWB and Doodle Maths ~ All of which the links are below.

Communication ~ Clear communications with our Abermorddu families is of great importance. Class teachers will be using SeeSaw to communicate with parents. Therefore, please check your notifications on a daily basis. All main school information will continue to be sent via the main school office via email.

P.E ~ This year PE will be on a Tuesday and we are asking for children to come dressed wearing their school PE kit. We recommend that your child wears jogging bottoms/leggings, if they wish, due to PE sessions only being held outdoors due to Covid-19.

Snack ~ Children must bring in a HEALTHY snack for break time everyday, a piece of fruit is ideal.

Water bottles ~ Water bottles must be brought to school on a daily basis. Please note, the bigger the water bottle the better or simply provide your child with two bottles of water as it is vitally important they drink enough during the school day.
