Christmas Concert 2022 – ‘Aladdin Trouble’

We are so pleased to confirm that this will be our first Christmas concert for a number of years and the whole school can’t wait to present ‘Aladdin Trouble’!

All pupils from Reception to Year 6 are involved in the concert and all parents/grandparents/family and friends are invited to come along and see the performances on Monday 19^th, Tuesday 20^th and Wednesday 21^st December, starting at 1.15pm.    

As mentioned previously, tickets for the main school concert will be available from Monday, 5^th December, but initially 2 per family only.  Any remaining tickets will then be sold on a first come, first served basis from Tuesday, 13^th December.  Please complete the below order form and return this back to school, confirming the day that you would like your tickets.  Tickets are priced at £1 each and payment can be sent by cash or via School gateway.  Once payment is received, your tickets will be sent home with your child. 

For the performances, we would be grateful if you could provide your child with some clothing that matches the descriptions below. Please send your outfit in a plastic bag with your child’s name clearly marked. 

Reception – Pupils will wear the same outfit from their school concert on 13^th December. 

Year 1 – Plain black leggings/trousers/tights with a plain black t-shirt.  (Bat mask if you have?)

Year 2 – Plain coloured t-shirts (Orange, red, green, yellow or brown) with black leggings/trousers.

Year 3 – Your child is a wedding guest, so any smart outfit to wear to a wedding – dress/trousers & shirt. 

Year 4 – Grey trousers/skirt with a plain white t-shirt. 

Year 5 – Autumn coloured plain t-shirts & trousers (e.g. brown/orange/red/yellow)

Theatr Clwyd Cymru – ‘Robin Hood – The Rock n Roll Panto’ – Wednesday, 11^th January, 2023

We have booked for the above show, for the children to attend on Wednesday, 11^th January, 2023.

The cost of the trip is £14.50 per pupil (to be paid by School Comms/cash/cheque made payable to Abermorddu CP School). 

As we are aware things are difficult for many at the moment, so if you would like to pay in instalments, i.e. £1 or £2 per week, please contact Mrs. Wright in the office. 

We have booked the morning performance so the children will have their school dinner on their return.  They are allowed to bring one small packet of sweets with them (no chocolate).

Please complete and return the below slip indicating that you would like your child to attend the show and complete and return the attached Form 4. 

Final payment must be made by Tuesday, 1^st December, 2022.  Thank you for your co-operation. 

Dates for the Diary 2022 2023

Please find below dates for the diary from September 2022.  Additional dates may be added but these will be updated as and when they occur.  More information regarding the events will be sent on our return in September.  

Please find below an updated contact form for all of our parents to complete and return to school.  

Please download the form and enter at least TWO emergency contact details for your child/ren.  Please enter mobile/work numbers if possible and full email addresses as all communication will now be sent electronically.

PE Information 08.09.20

As mentioned, PE Kit is as follows:

• Black joggers/leggings/shorts
• White plain T-shirt
• Pumps or trainers

PE Lessons will commence on the following dates:

Breakfast Club/Wrap Around/After School Club 08.09.20

We are pleased to confirm that from Monday, 14^th September, 2020 we will be able to resume our Breakfast Club, Wrap Around Service for Nursery pupils and After School Club.  Numbers will be limited initially and all pupils attending must remain within their strict bubbles.   

Breakfast Club 

The Breakfast Club will be open from 7.30am -8.20am each morning and from 8.20am – 8.30am for Free Breakfast Club.  There will be no entry allowed into Breakfast Club after 8.30am each morning. 

Numbers will be limited initially and in order to manage this, we will be insisting that all pupils wanting to attend Breakfast Club must book in before they arrive.  This includes those parents wanting their child to attend Free Breakfast Club.  A booking form is attached to this email and must be received in school by 3.20pm on the day before you are due to arrive.  Bookings after this time will not be accepted and your child will not be allowed entry.   

To attend Breakfast Club you must arrive at the main school entrance gate and telephone 07971 736552.  A member of Breakfast club will then meet you to escort your child into school and into their strict bubble.  Again, NO parents will be allowed on site.  Please ensure you remember to socially distance from all other parents at all times.   

During this time, breakfast will consist of a Breakfast bar and drink for all pupils.  

After 8.40am your child will be escorted into their specific classrooms to start the school day.   

Invoices for Breakfast club will continue to be sent on a Friday morning via EMAIL.  (Please ensure the school has a valid email address for all parents).  Payments must then be made via the School Gateway app.  We will not be accepting any cash on site.  Please contact the school for more information on how to access School Gateway.   

Please remember, you must book your child in to attend Breakfast Club using the attached form, even if you only require the free breakfast club. 

As with every year, can all parents planning on attending Breakfast Club please complete the attached registration form in addition to the booking form.  This is to ensure we know if your child has any specific allergies.   

Wrap Around/After School Club  

Jackie and her team from ABC Nursery, will also restart Wrap Around for Nursery Pupils and After School Club for all pupils from Monday, 14^th September.  This will again be on a strict booking in system in order to manage numbers effectively.   

Wrap around will run from 11.30am until 3.20pm and then After School Club will start from 3.10pm until 6.00pm.   

In order to book your child in to any of these services, you MUST contact Jackie either by phone 07761 922604 or via facebook Abermorddu Kids Club.  Abermorddu School WILL NOT be able to accept any telephone bookings – all bookings must be made directly with Jackie.   

Jackie has confirmed that if your child has already attended Wrap Around/After School Club they do not require you to complete a new registration pack, however if any of your details have changed you must inform her prior to booking.  For any new Nursery parent, please ensure you complete a registration pack which can be obtained from Jackie.   

ABC Nursery also operate a cashless system for payment and Jackie will be able to provide all parents with their details on request.
