School Council
School councils play an important role in giving pupils a voice and helping them take an active part in school life. By representing their classmates and sharing ideas, pupils feel a strong sense of ownership and pride in their school community. Being part of a school council encourages responsibility, as children learn to make decisions, listen to others, and work together to make positive changes. This sense of belonging and involvement helps pupils feel valued and confident, knowing they can help shape their school’s future.
School Council
At Abermorddu, our school council play an important role in what our pupils want in school and it help them contribute to decisions that improve school life. Council members listen to ideas and suggestions from their classmates and share them in meetings with staff. They help plan events, support fundraising, and promote positive changes around the school. Through this role, pupils learn teamwork, leadership, and how to make responsible decisions that benefit everyone.

Eco Council
At Abermorddu, we are proud to show our Platinum Eco Council status. This could not be done without our enthusiastic Eco Council. The role of the eco council in primary schools is to help make the school more environmentally friendly and raise awareness about sustainability. Eco council members work together to promote recycling, reduce waste, save energy, and care for nature in and around the school. They lead projects, organise activities like litter picks and eco days, and encourage everyone to make small changes that help the planet. This gives pupils a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and pride in protecting their environment.
